The student-researcher Matej Milosievski from the Mechatronics study program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) at the University “Sts. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, together with his colleague Andreja Popović from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT), created a device for recycling polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste into filament for 3D printing.

The process of obtaining rePET recycled PET filament begins with waste PET, in this case a plastic bottle, followed by heating and molding under constant voltage through a modified nozzle to a standard 3D printing filament diameter,” explains Matej.
