High number of unemployed and number of job vacancies

  • /the activity rate is still relatively low, there is a “dormant labor potential” among the inactive population
  • /the number of unemployed is still high
  • /the alignment between supply and demand on the labor market is still not as it should be, that is, due to the inadequate structure of skills and competencies possessed by the unemployed
  • /The country is lacking new, attractive, economic occupations that the labor market demands.
  • /This means a change in secondary vocational education and higher, university education to meet the necessary profiles.
  • /the strategy for smart specialization (should) be adopted, which would stimulate regional development and thus reduce the disparity between the development of the regions.
