The village of Zheleznec is located in the northwestern part of the Demir Hisar Municipality at an altitude of 720 meters. Since 2004 it has been a protected monument of culture, due to the distinctive architecture present in the village. The springs of Crna Reka are in the area of the village itself.

Crna river with the length of 207 km is the biggest right tributary of Vardar. It springs up from the spring called Black Hole nearby the village Zheleznec, on an altitude of 760 meters. From the spring Crna River flows through Demir Hisar, then Pelagonija up to the village Skochivir where it enters into the Skochivir Gorge, the longest gorge in Macedonia, 80 km in length.
