Belgian exports to the US drop 12,5 %
Belgian exports to the US decreased by 12.5% compared to 2024, following an earlier 20% surge. Despite this, Belgium’s trade surplus rose to 11.6 billion euros in the first half of 2025. While imports fell by 1.3%, exports declined by 0.7%. Exports to Asia increased by 9.8%.

The prestigious title of Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 has been awarded to the chip manufacturer X-Fab and lighting specialist Schréder. Equine Care and Dog Chef also won awards.
Entrepreneur of the Year award was given to X-Fab, a leading European producer of semiconductors for automotive and medical sectors from Tessenderlo. Other Awards were given to Equine Care Group for their clinics, Schréder for premium outdoor lighting, and Dog Chef for healthy dog meals.
