Mark, Belgian cuisine… it’s French, isn’t it?

French cuisine greatly influenced Belgian cuisine, of course!  But we also have typical Belgian meals that are Dutch- and German-inspired, lots of stewed dishes in beer or wine sauce.

Duck breast, N’ice Chouffe beer, cabbage, chocolate… and butter

Let’s remember that Belgium existed long before acquiring its independence in 1830 and thus also has its own age-old culinary culture.
