The solution might be a frozen product, reheated in the oven of a small store, a supermarket or anyone else who wants to provide fresh products for the customers.
The Gent-based company Vandemoortele is the leading producer not only for bread, but also pastries, sweet treats like donuts and muffins, Italian savories like pizzas and patisserie products like pies and cakes.
And with the recent decision to acquire French frozen bakery specialist Délifrance, they will become the largest producer of frozen bakery products in Europe. This would add 3 200 people and 930 million € revenue to the 3500 people and 1,4 billion € in Europe and the US of Vandermoortele.
