The Galičnik Wedding Festival lasts traditionally five days, and it is a tradition from the time when the whole village would participate in a wedding. It is the biggest wedding in the country, and couples who have to originate from the village compete to be selected for the “one” wedding in the small village of Galičnik.

After that, it is all tradition, also with many visitors: From the gunshots to the shaving of the groom, the traditional dances and the horse riders up to the religious ceremony.

The wedding takes place in the Saint Peter and Paul Church on the weekend close to Saint Peter and Paul’s day, on today’s July 12th.
